LooScore Ltd ("we", "us") operates the LooScore mobile application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
What we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to make the app work:
Location data — used on-device to show toilets near you. We do not store, transmit, or track your location.
Ratings and reports — the scores and reports you submit are stored in our database and shown to other users. They are linked to an anonymous user ID, not your name or email.
Profile data — your chosen avatar, display name, badges, and stats. Display names are randomly generated and contain no personal information.
Authentication data — if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and, optionally, your email address. We use this solely to sync your profile across devices. We do not use it for marketing.
Analytics — we use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate (screen views, feature usage). This data is anonymous and cannot identify you.
What we don't collect
We do not collect your name, phone number, or postal address.
We do not track your location history.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
We do not serve targeted advertising.
How data is stored
Data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase), hosted in the EU. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication. Both are operated by Google and subject to Google's security practices.
Data retention
Reports expire automatically after 30 days unless re-confirmed.
Pending toilet submissions expire after 90 days if not verified.
Ratings and profile data are retained for as long as your account exists.
If you sign out, a new anonymous account is created. Your previous anonymous data remains but is no longer linked to you.
Account deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Go to your profile screen, tap the settings icon, and select "Delete account". This will permanently remove your authentication credentials, profile, ratings, reports, and all other data linked to your account. This action cannot be undone.
You can also request account deletion by emailing hello@looscore.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To make a request, email hello@looscore.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
LooScore is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app can be used without signing in or providing any personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
